Christmas is over and the Sales are upon us….the crush, the queues….what a way to spend the holidays! But maybe some of those shoppers have a long term plan. Maybe they arn’t looking for the quick bargain and are really hunting out the last of those items that in a few years time will become the next hot collectables for sale

You would sometimes be suprised at what becomes a collectors item. We all know about the big things…classic cars etc, but anything can become collectable if it has a mass apppeal and a limited supply. Movie franchises have a very good understanding of this and use it in their marketing. Swatch watches sold millions of limited editions sets of watches that were never worn or even taken out of their boxes because of their collectable value. A collecters blog is not a blog that has unique value…but a blog about collectables.
