This month the first National Kite Surfing championship took place at Santa Pola.

The event was held at Playa de la Goya and has been hailed as a great success by the organisers .The first day had little wind for the qualifying competitions but after that the competitions took place in the best of conditions , with a riot of colour for the spectators .

There was a race circuit as well as free style kite surfing , all of which delighted those who came to watch .
